Born on May 31, 1961 in Leningrad.
In 1983 graduated from the Leningrad State University.
In 2003 graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University.
1985-1992 served in the Armed Forces.
From 1992 to 2003 worked in commercial structures.
From 2003 to 2004 was in charge of the Investment Department of the Central Executive Committee of the United Russia All-Russian Political Party.
From 2004 to 2010 was the representative of the state executive body of the Komi Republic in the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Member of the Financial and Monetary Committee of the Federation Council, Member of the Native Minorities and Northern Affairs Committee of the Federation Council, Deputy Chairman of the Commission of the Federation Council on Interaction with the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation.
On May 13, 2010 appointed auditor of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation by the Federation Council.
Awarded with the certificates of honour of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation.
Hobbies: tourism, swimming.
